Winemaking Traditional methods meet the latest technologies in the field of oenology. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration, for approximately 20 days, are followed by maturation in French oak barrels, for 18 months, which gives complexity and body without affecting the freshness and aroma of this variety. Characteristics This wine is a tribute to the Marcionetti Family’s work as a team over the past 20 years. It is a tribute to our customers, who have trusted us and believed in us. It is a tribute to Merlot, Ticino’s most famous grape variety. But it is also a tribute to the sky (as is reflected in the label), because we believe that something “from above” has helped us achieve all of this. This is the wine that best shows our quest for quality and excellence – a varietal Merlot wine of Ticino. Winetasting Deep ruby colour, with notes of bush fruit (blackberry and currant), as well as coffee and chocolate aromas on the nose. On the palate, it boasts good structure, elegant and smooth tannins, good length and freshness, which is typical of Merlot from Ticino. Best consumed within 4-5 years of bottling Food pairing We advise you to pair it with full-bodied, high-fat meat dishes (stew, roast, lamb). If you would like to enjoy it as an aperitif wine, try it with Ticino Alpine cheese. |
