Winemaking

Alcoholic fermentation and subsequent 14-day maceration. Maturation in stainless steel tanks for 12 months.

Characteristics
It is produced using Merlot grapes only from the best vineyards of the Sopraceneri. These are scattered across various towns, from Gordola to Giornico, with very different pedoclimatic conditions.

Winetasting

Ruby colour, with notes of cherry, plum and blueberry on the nose. 
Smooth, harmonious and  fresh on the palate – a typical Merlot from Ticino. A very well-balanced wine too, thanks to its silky tannins.

Best consumed within 2-3 years of bottling.

Food pairing

We recommend it paired with appetizers, such as a local charcuterie and cheese platter. 

It is great with simple main dishes, too – such as risotto, pasta with Bolognese sauce, meat or vegetable lasagna.
